Oscars 2012

The thing I love most about award shows are the red carpet moments. I love seeing the starts all glammed up.. :) It makes me want to dress up for something too.

This year's Oscars, the celebrities didn't disappoint. The gowns, the hair, the make-up ⎯ they were all so gorgeous! Here's a list of some of my favorites:

Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace
She looks STUNNING in this gown. Her hair, gown, make-up and heels just shows how gorgeous she really is.

Jessica Chastain in Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen
This was definitely something else. If there's one thing I love, it's embellishments and intricate details in gowns! Jessica Chastain definitely pulled this look off.

Cameron Diaz in Gucci

Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford

Kristen Wiig in J. Mendel and Neil Lane

I also loved Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kristen Wiig's gowns. Cameron and Kristen's gowns are just perfect for the prom season! They're simple but if you carry them well, they'll change the way people see them.

And what is an awards show without an after party to celebrate the awards they receive? Ahh I love the after party dresses too, so gorgeous.

Alessanda Ambrosio in Roberto Cavalli
Even when she's pregnant, she still looks gorgeous.

Nina Dobrev in J. Mendel
This would have to be my favorite after party dress. It's simple but Nina Dobrev carried it so well! She looks elegant and daring because of the cut outs.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely in Antonio Berardi
Those sleeves emphasize the shoulders in a bad way if not worn right. But she managed to work them!

Selena Gomez in Dolce & Gabbana
Selena looks amazing in this dress. It reminds me of old Hollywood fashion! Keeping the hair, make-up and jewelry simple really made her and the gown shine.

Thank you to Marie Claire for the after party photos and The Huffington Post for the Oscars Red Carpet Photos.

Breeks to Bricks

Last week, a couple of my friends and I headed over to Breeks for lunch. Breeks is the perfect fusion of fun dining and a laid back cafe. The food is beyond delicious! and affordable too! They offer a wide range of hearty and healthy meals. From tasty thin crust pizzas to mouthwatering baked mac! (which is a definite must try!) Breeks also offers a lot of different delish coffees and smoothies! Looking back, I regret not trying everything. :(
Aside from serving savory meals, Breeks is also well known for their delectable cakes, cookies and brownies! They sell custom made heavenly desserts and also custom made cakes!
(Must try # 2: Zebra bars! I like calling them Tiger bars, but it's really called Zebra, okay?)

What I think sealed the deal for me was their absolutely amazing ambiance! When I first walked in, the atmosphere in Breeks screamed 'THIS is the place to hang out with friends and family!' True enough, my friends and I had a great time enjoying each other's company, laughing our butts off and stuffing our mouths. Time flew by so fast that before we knew it, it was already dinner time! Everything was just so chill! There were amazing artworks displayed on the walls, relaxing music wafting softly from the speakers and the energizing smell of coffee that could rival Starbucks'.

It's something you must absolutely try before you die. As of now, there are two branches: One in San Pedro(which I visited) and another in Katipunan. If you're ever in the need to relax and indulge in some comfort food, Breeks is the place for you!

For inquires or more pictures of Breeks, like their Facebook page here.

Thanks again, Kate Depp! Hope ya know I'm a big fan na of Breeks! Hang out again! :)

Keep Smiling ☺,
